Q: Why do some brands of salts dissolve unnaturally fast?

A:
Most salt companies take short cuts to mask inadequacies and imbalances in their formulations. The use of Chelators (artificial clarifiers) such as E.D.T.A. is very common. E.D.T.A. will cause a salt solution to clear quickly. E.D.T.A. is, however, banned in several countries due to its cumulative nature and potential long-term toxic side effects. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency demands that E.D.T.A. be excluded from its Bioassay Research Testing. Crystal Sea® has been referenced since 1988 as the replacement for natural seawater.
